AFJROTC
Greetings from the
Air Force Junior ROTC Cadet Corps
The Air Force Junior ROTC unit at Emerald High School was established on July 1, 1995. It is a program that builds leadership through teamwork and problem solving. AFJROTC teaches leadership and Air Force related subjects (space, history, flight). Instruction instills in each cadet a sense of patriotism and service to country and promotes personal responsibility. The course also focuses on building teamwork and providing instruction in basic military skills. Cadets participate in numerous co-curricular and extracurricular activities (community service, field trips, drill and fitness).
THERE IS NO MILITARY OBLIGATION WITH ENROLLMENT
OR COMPLETION OF AN ROTC COURSE.
MISSION OF JROTC: To develop citizens of character dedicated to serving their nation and community.
