Congratulations Cadet Colonel (Sr) Xaviar "Blaze" Oswald!

An AFJROTC cadet at Emerald HS was awarded a special honor this week. Cadet Colonel (Sr) Xaviar Oswald was awarded the Silver Valor Award for saving his fathers life during a medical emergency. It is the 2nd highest ribbon that AFJROTC can award. Cadet Colonel Oswald will be formally recognized during a ceremony at Emerald's Annual Awards Ceremony in May. According to AFJROTC Instructor CMSgt James Blakeley this is the first time the award has been presented to an EHS cadet since the unit inception in 1995. Congratulations to Cadet Colonel Xaviar Oswald on this outstanding honor!
